Disability Law service were incredibly fortunate that we had 3 amazing runners take part this year in the 2024 London Marathon on our behalf. We would like to say a massive thank you to them all, and tell you a little about them.
Ross Wyse ran the London Marathon for Disability Law Service back in 2022 and came back in 2024 to raise money for us again. He’s raised over £2000 for the charity. Here’s what he had to say about the experience:
“An incredible experience all around and great to see lots of funds raised for DLS. Looking forward to following the continued growth and success of such a great organisation”
Felix Buddee has been supporting Disability Law Service since 2022. He’s taken part in two London Marathons and has raised over £4000 for the charity! Here is what he says about the charity:
“Disability Law Service provides free legal advice on community care, employment, housing and welfare benefits to disabled people and their carers to ensure that they have access to their rights and justice.

DLS’s support can be life changing. It has helped to keep some people in their lifelong homes and ensured that others are now receiving the proper care and financial support that they deserve so that they can live their lives to the fullest. DLS provides a vital service to some 4000 people each year but there are many more out there who need its help.”
John Encarnacion chose Disability Law Service as the charity he wanted to support with his first London Marathon challenge this April. A keen runner from the US, John was blown away by the support he got on the streets of London! He was proud to be running for DLS and has raised over £1800 for us. Here why he chose us:
“This fantastic organization combines two things that have been very important to me: providing pro bono legal services and benefiting those who are disabled. Throughout my legal career, I have made time to donate services for several public interest organizations. Since 2012, through Achilles International, I have also been a volunteer guide for athletes with visual and other impairments for their training runs and races.”
