The House of Lords Public Services Committee has just published its report ‘Think Work First: the transition from education to work for young disabled people’, which includes important evidence provided by DLS’s Employment Solicitor, Stephen Robson. Young Disabled people want the same opportunities as all other young people: to get good jobs when they leave education and to thrive in their careers. However, this inquiry has found that young Disabled people face challenges at every stage of the transition from education to work, from lack of support in early years education to discrimination in the workplace.
